Jigsaw’s Story

Hello! I’m Jigsaw and I arrived at Halfpenny Farm in 2022, alongside my friend Puzzle. 

Before arriving at the farm, I lived with Puzzle and, on one occasion, accidentally entered the enclosure of another animal. As an entire billy goat, I exhibited aggressive behaviour and subsequently attacked the other animal. It was not my finest hour. My previous owner deemed it appropriate to find me a new home.

Mike and Louise took me in, neutered me and with their patience and care my true personality blossomed. I quickly grew fond of the volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to caring for the farm's residents and found that I was especially keen on receiving pats and scratches.

Mealtimes are a highlight of my day! My enthusiasm for snacks and treats is unmatched. Whether it's fresh hay, crunchy vegetables, or specially prepared goat-friendly goodies, my world revolves around culinary delights. 

When the weather is warm, I can be found in the field with my best friend Puzzle. He is a source of comfort and companionship, and we love to graze, play and explore together.

If the weather turns cold Mike and Louise make sure I am safe in my warm shelter with my coat on and plenty of food to see me through the day.

Without Mike and Louise, I would not be here today. The nurture and care I get at Halfpenny-Farm has allowed my true character to shine through and I have gone from an unwanted animal to a much-loved member of the Halfpenny-Farm family.
